Juan Manuel Maroñas, Escritor de relatos
My passion for languages Spanish, English, French, Italian, German, Portuguese, Catalan —and the legacy of Latin— have led me to explore not only what stories tell, but how they are told. Through decades of study and rigorous exams, I have gained a deep understanding of language architecture, lexical richness, and the etymological roots that connect different tongues. This linguistic background flows naturally into my storytelling, weaving narratives that move between the ordinary and the extraordinary, engaging readers with vivid descriptions, metaphorical layers, and unexpected plots.
Over the past seven years, I have deepened my literary journey through poetry and narrative workshops at:Centro El Molino (Villanueva de la Cañada)Centro de Poesía José Hierro (Getafe)Asociación Española de Amigos de la Poesía (Móstoles)My works —ranging from poetry and short stories to novels— aim to connect emotions, move readers, and transcend linguistic and cultural boundaries.
Having lived and worked in France, Spain, and Germany, I bring a multicultural perspective to every story I create.

Poetry & narrative workshops
From a very young age, words became my refuge and my play. I wrote my first verses as a child —with the innocence of discovery and the courage to describe the world. That poetic spark never faded; it grew with me, becoming a way to understand life.
2000
First steps
At 25, driven by curiosity and a desire to broaden my horizons, I immersed myself in the study of languages: German, French, English, and Italian. Each language offered not only communication but a new lens through which to see the world —a lexical richness that today nourishes my writing with unique nuances and depth.
2014
First short poems & stories
In 2014, I began shaping small narratives: micro-stories loaded with intention, imagery, and emotion.Seeds that soon grew into a firm passion for short stories and poetry.
2018
My first novel
Since 2018, I have been actively engaged in literary workshops, attending two per week. This constant practice allows me to sustain a steady creative rhythm —writing one or two texts each week, born from honesty, dedication, and a love for language.
